Hello! My name is Abi Reghuram and I am a fourth semester student here at SUSOM. Before I started medical school, I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Sciences specializing in Kinesiology. During my undergrad, I worked as a Rehab Specialist for chronic pain patients and also worked with the historically underserved youth through the Boys and Girls Club. I enjoy playing soccer, volleyball, badminton and competing in boxing. I’m super blessed to be part of the SGA and I’m looking forward to meeting you.

Hi! My name is Georgia Stewart. I am a fourth semester student here at SUSOM. Before medical school, I completed my undergraduate degree in Health Sciences and then a Master’s degree in Interdisciplinary Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa. I enjoy playing rugby, running, and spending time outside. I am looking forward to being a part of the SGA and helping the SUSOM community in any way I can.

Hello, my name is Praise and I am currently in my third semester. I’m Nigerian-Canadian (born in Nigeria, moved to Ontario, Canada, mid-teens). I did my undergrad at Wilfrid Laurier University, Waterloo ON and my Master of Public Health at Western University, London ON. In my spare time, I enjoy watching K-dramas and medical shows. Hey everyone I’m Husam, a first semester student at SUSOM. Before coming here I worked in biotech for about 3 years         and have a background in quality assurance manufacturing. My undergraduate degree was in Biochemistry from the University of Rhode Island, where I grew up for the majority of my life. I also lived abroad in Syria for 5 years when I was younger so I can speak a few languages (arabic mostly lol). Things I like to do include going to the gym, traveling, watching new anime, and meeting people! Excited to be part of SABA let’s have a good semester!

Hello everyone, my name is Sussan. I am a 3rd semester class representative. Before my journey to SABA. I obtained my first degree in Law from Nigeria. Moved to the states, obtained my second degree in Nursing at University of Michigan, a minor in aviation and became a licensed private pilot. I have experience working as an RN in the cardiovascular ICU, NICU and Neuro ICU. During my nursing school years, I was an Anesthesia tech and was also opportuned to work with /shadowed many other Doctors in specialties ranging from Neurosurgery, Plastic surgery, cardio thoracic, pediatrics, OBGYN, internal medicine and other specialties. I am the  Author of my debut book ‘This Journey Called Life’. In my spare time, I love to sleep and spend time with family.I look forward to getting the most experiences out of this journey and happy to be part of this great community!

Hi! My name is Nila Elumalai, and I am a third semester student. Before coming to SUSOM, I studied Cognitive Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. After graduating, I worked as a Behavioral Technician with children with developmental disorders, and have also published in labs at UCLA and UMiami. In my free time, I enjoy baking, doing jigsaw puzzles, and listening to music. I am excited to be a part of SGA and help make a positive impact on the SUSOM and greater Saban community!

Hello, my name is Sahib Labana. I graduated from York University with a BSC in Kinesiology and Health Sciences. I hope to specialize in internal medicine, but this could change. Some of my hobbies include sports, specifically badminton and swimming. I love listening to music and at times like to dance. I am excited to be involved in the SGA, and hope to work cohesively as a team to improve the SUSOM community.

I’m undecided in my future specialty but I'm vibing with Emergency Medicine at the moment. I love relaxing, trying new foods, and working out. My name is Azlan Khan and I am in my fifth semester. I'm from North Carolina, USA and got my Bachelors in Biology and Neuroscience at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before coming to Saba, I spent 3 years working as a medical assistant at a dermatology clinic in my hometown. I'm currently not sure what I would like to specialize in following graduation, but I hope to practice rural medicine. I enjoy going to the gym and trying to keep up with my growing list of anime in my free time. I've always loved contributing and trying to give back to the schools I've attended and am excited to continue this by being a member of SGA at SUSOM.

My name is Kalvin Kwan, and I am a 5th semester student here at SUSOM. Prior to medical school, I graduated with a MSc in Medicinal Chemistry with a topic focus on targeting mutant p53 in cancers. I enjoy teaching, and trying to maintain a well-balanced lifestyle. You will meet a lot of amazing and interesting people here at SUSOM.
