African Diaspora Association (ADA)
About: A social club bringing together similar African rooted cultures towards achieving the common goal of becoming physicians. Not only is there a focus on networking, but community service and awareness are of the main goals and activities pursued.
Christian Student Association (CSA)
About: We host weekly bible studies and a worship night. Depending on availability, we may even have a special guest who will attend one of our events. It is non-denominational and everyone is welcome to come.
Saba Hacky Sackers
Saba Hacky Sackers (SHS) is an inclusive campus club that offers students an opportunity to exercise and socialize in between classes with a fun, timeless activity. A lot of students find that physical activity increases their alertness, so this is an opportunity to get your blood pumping in between classes, and keep yourself more engaged throughout the day. Plus it’s just fun. We meet daily outside the cafeteria, although we expand to other areas of campus when the groups become too large. No experience required!

Jewish Student Association (JSA)
About: The JSA serves the Saba University School of Medicine student body of Jewish interest. Our goal is to build and sustain a community that enhances the professional, social and educational experiences for Jewish and interested students at Saba. We welcome all medical students as members and are open to Jews of all denominations or political persuasions.

The mission of The Journal Club at Saba University School of Medicine is to create an environment of continued learning outside the daily curriculum and to foster curiosity and enthusiasm for exciting advancements in medicine. The Journal Club plans to keep students at SUSOM abreast to current research in medicine and to create habits and discipline in reading and understanding medical literature. The Journal Club will be a place to explore interests in a variety of research topics and will be a way to form a supportive community of critical thinkers.

About: The Muslim Students Association at SABA University School of Medicine aims to foster understanding about Islam among the Saba community as well as to assist Muslim students with their practice of Islam, ie. Daily prayers, Friday prayers, Ramadan dinners etc. The MSA also aims to provide charity and community service both to the campus and the island. Primary Care and Pediatrics Club
About: Founded in 2013, our mission is to support & facilitate both current students & graduates of the Saba University School of Medicine throughout their medical training & careers. As the fastest-growing group at SUSOM, we are working hard to spread our reach on Saba and all across North America. Our events, which include visits from SUSOM Alumni, Specialty Presentations, as well as partnering students with SUSOM Alumni mentors practicing medicine in their interested specialties, all intend to facilitate & enhance your experiences while on Saba in learning about the resources & opportunities SUSOM can afford you moving forward through every stage of your medical career. This semester, we are hoping to host a diabetic foot care clinic. We hope to help you reach your destination & desired career as best as we can, and we are always looking to gain more student involved in this student-focused but student-driven group.

South Asian Student Society (SASS)
About: The purpose of the South Asian Student Society is to provide a platform for the development of a South Asian community within Saba and provide information pertinent to South Asian students studying medicine abroad. The society will also help to celebrate South Asian heritage with Saban residents and other members of the student body and support students in their adjustment to the island of Saba.

World Health Initiative
World Health Initiative (WHI) is a group led by students who are passionate about international medical relief. Our main goal is to raise money and awareness for Doctors Without Borders, and we do this by hosting presentations with those who have relief experience, gaining knowledge about how we can get involved in relief, and having fundraisers such as selling merchandise and working alongside local businesses. If you want to help save lives around the world, WHI is the group for you!

About: SUSOM Global Health club will provide opportunities for students to increase their awareness of current global health issues through education and interaction. We will work towards improving health locally and globally, all while building relationships with community members of Saba. The club will strive to increase health literacy throughout the Saban community and address the local needs.
Saba Girls Run (Not Active)
About: "Striving for a better you with every run". The club fosters relationships between the girls in the Saba schools and the students of SUSOM. Our goal is to serve as role models and impart some knowledge on healthy living.
SUSOM American Medical Student Association (AMSA) (Not Active)
About: We're committed to improving health care and healthcare delivery to all people; promoting active improvement in medical education; involving its members in the social, moral and ethical obligations of the profession of medicine; assisting in the improvement and understanding of world health problems; contributing to the welfare of medical students, premedical students, interns, residents and post-MD/DO trainees; and advancing the profession of medicine.
Gender and Sexuality Alliance (Not Active)
The Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA) is a student-run club that works to promote equality for and give a voice to LGBTQIA individuals of Saba and SUSOM. Last semester, GSA hosted a movie night and a Pride Tie-Dye Party on campus to celebrate inclusiveness. In the future we would like to expand our efforts to involve the Saba community. In particular, we are working closely with Body Mind Spirit to establish an informal counseling service for LGBTQIA youth on Saba.
